Canary Islands Maritime Cluster, within the framework of the actions foreseen in the INTERREG-MAC 2014-2020 projects: INTERPORT and SMARTBLUE participates on 12^th February 2019, in Bilbao, in a meeting of Spanish Naval and Maritime Clusters. The aim of this meeting is to define a strategy of joint action to dynamise and promote the marine and maritime sector at national level in a coordinate manner. The meeting discussed the Agenda of the Naval Industry presented on 15^th January by the Minister of Industry,Trade, and Tourism in Madrid, as well as the Special Register of Ships and Shipping Companies of the Canary Islands (REBECA) which requires a modification to adapt to that established in other European ports with special regimes such as the Canary Islands ( Madeira, Malta and Cyprus). As a result of the meeting, it was agreed to analyse the aforementioned sectoral agenda and propose improvements to the document, with a new meeting of this working group of naval clusters to be held on 5^th April 2019 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on the occasion of the Mid Atlantic Ship Repair & Supply Summit.
